1. Read the questions for the AF cooking demo to start the day (well, after snuggle time with hubby :)), which went well.

2. After that. took some inventory, made lists, and went out shopping with Avery. Had a very nice time, including pizza for me at Costco and ice cream for him, and a super tasting at Binny's where I bought some limoncello crema and pistachio crema made locally in Elmhurst. Both are absolutely incredible.

3. The only annoying thing on the outing was that I found out (at Carol Stream Jewel) that if you need to do a return/exchange of any kind for a drive up order at Jewel, you can only go to the one where the order was done. How stupid is this? Will keep that in mind for future orders.

4. In the afternoon after the shopping outing, we went for our first family bike ride of the year, did the Poplar Creek trail. Michael thinks it's easier the way we did today, which is clockwise/to the left when you get to the loop. I disagree. It's much worse when you have to do all that steady climb on the western part of the loop, and the hills are harder in this direction overall. Peu importe, still loved our ride, as it was simply gorgeous, perfect weather for the ride!

5. Made the filet mignon steaks for dindin, along with the asparagus. It was excellent, as expected! Afterwards, we walked to DQ for dessert (Michael had wanted to go on our way home originally), then played Mansions of Madness just a little before Avery was too tired to go on (he's been getting up earlier than us and going to bed around 10pm). It does seem fun, and I know Michael is elated I'm making good on my promise to play it with them.
